Georgia strongly condemns violence and rocket attacks directed against civilians on the Israeli territory, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili tweeted.
“Georgia strongly condemns violence and rocket attacks directed against civilians on the Israeli territory. Our condolences to the families of victims and a swift recovery to those injured. The Immediate de-escalation of tensions has no alternative to prevent further civilian casualties,” PM said.
The deadly exchange of fire between Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip and the Israeli military has escalated significantly, with the UN fearing a “full-scale war,” the BBC reported.
Israel reports on over a thousand rockets fired by Palestinian militants. Israel has carried out hundreds of airstrikes, destroying two tower blocks in Gaza on Tuesday and Wednesday. At least 67 people in Gaza and seven people in Israel have been killed since Monday.
