PM declares Georgia’s ambition to achieve full EU membership by 2030
“We have a clear and resolute goal to become a full member of the European Union by 2030. With a fair and constructive approach, nothing will stand in the way of our EU integration,” stated Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze in his annual parliamentary address.
According to the Prime Minister, the government is fully committed to taking all necessary steps to accelerate Georgia’s European integration process.
“We face certain challenges in our relations with the EU. There are instances of an unfair approach from some European bureaucrats. Nevertheless, we remain prepared and dedicated to advancing our country’s path toward EU membership.
Our declared objective is to join the EU by 2030, and we are confident that Georgia will be ready by then. If a fair and healthy approach is adopted, nothing will hinder our progress. We continue to operate in a waiting mode, diligently working toward this goal. I sincerely hope that European bureaucrats will adopt a just and constructive stance,” he said.
