I extend special congratulations to those who are crossing the threshold of school or university for the first time this year,” writes Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Facebook.
As the head of government notes, the continuous process of education is a path towards developing critical thinking, discovering one’s own capabilities, and becoming a worthy citizen.
“Dear pupils, students, esteemed teachers and parents, I wholeheartedly congratulate you on the start of the new academic year. I extend special congratulations to those who are crossing the threshold of school or university for the first time this year and are beginning one of life’s most responsible and, at the same time, most interesting chapters. The continuous process of education is a path towards developing critical thinking, discovering one’s own capabilities and, most importantly, forming into a worthy citizen. The main companions for the future generation on this journey are teachers and professors. I thank them for their tireless work. Thanks to the parents and families, whose support and solidarity are an immense strength for their children.
Against the backdrop of contemporary global challenges, it is precisely quality education that serves as the cornerstone of our country’s unity, development and strength. Therefore, supporting education remains our government’s foremost priority. I wish you an interesting and successful new academic year filled with achievements,” notes Irakli Kobakhidze.
