PM condemns EU Ambassador’s alleged role in fueling radicalism and polarisation
“It is regrettable when an ambassador, especially the EU Ambassador, attempts to incite radicalism and polarisation within our country,” Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated in response to a reporter’s question concerning the EU Ambassador’s refusal to answer media inquiries and his collaboration with activist Anano Tsintsabadze.
According to the Prime Minister, EU Ambassador to Georgia Pawel Herczynski is directly involved in fostering radicalism and polarisation.
“This is a situation where commenting on a particular ambassador feels unnecessary. Unfortunately, this individual is directly engaged in radicalism and incitement of division. Such actions tarnish the image of European officials, and it is truly regrettable. When an ambassador, especially one representing the EU, seeks to sow discord and radicalise, it reflects poorly on European diplomacy. I have no further comments, as I do not see the need,” he added.
