PM comments on Zaza Gakheladze’s case

Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia said that Zaza Gakheladze, Georgian citizen sentenced to 12.5 years by the occupation regime, is illegally imprisoned.

Giorgi Gakharia claimed that he personally communicated with strategic partners about Zaza Gakheladze’s case.

“Together with all capital cities that represent our strategic partners, we will take concrete steps in the near future to help our citizens,” PM said.

The occupied Tskhinvali Court sentenced the unlawfully detained Georgian citizen Zaza Gakheladze to 12 years and six months in prison on February 5.

Zaza Gakheladze, a local of Kvemo Chala village, Kaspi Municipality, was detained and wounded in his leg at Skhvilo Fortress on July 11. The occupied regime charged Gakheladze for an attempt to cross the so-called border illegally and for the attempted murder of a Russian soldier.
