Plea deal reached with Gela Khasia, Coalition for Change member

A plea agreement has been reached with Gela Khasia, a member of the Coalition for Change.

During a hearing at Tbilisi City Court, Khasia admitted the charges against him.

Under the terms of the plea agreement, Khasia will serve one year in prison, with an additional three-year suspended sentence.

Gela Khasia was charged with intentionally causing minor bodily harm in a group setting. According to the prosecutor’s office, on September 1, 2025, near Tamar Mepe Avenue in Tbilisi, Khasia and Vasil Kerdikoshvili allegedly inflicted physical harm on Ramaz Chaduneli as part of a group assault.
