Passport Index 2026: Georgia ranks 33rd with most powerful passports

Georgia ranks 33rd in the world in the list of the most powerful passports, according to the Passport Index 2026, which means that Georgian citizens can travel to 133 countries visa-free or through facilitated rules.

Of the 133 countries, Georgian citizens can enter 79 countries visa-free, obtain visas upon arrival at the airport in 50 countries, they require an online permit in 4 countries. Georgian citizens require visas in 65 countries, including the U.S. and Japan.

In the same ranking in 2023-2024, Georgia ranked 32nd with visa-free access to 135 countries. Georgia ranked 34th in 2022, while 35th in 2021. In 2017, Georgia ranked 45th in Passport Index rating.
