Parliamentary investigative commission summons former PM Gakharia over June 20 events
Former Prime Minister and leader of the Gakharia for Georgia party, Giorgi Gakharia, has been summoned to appear before the parliamentary temporary investigative commission.
The commission’s chair, Tea Tsulukiani, announced the decision during a session. Gakharia is being called in connection with the June 20 events.
“We have begun reviewing the 2012–2024 period. Giorgi Gakharia has been invited, along with several other politicians who, in our view, have harmed the country in the past and continue to do so,” Tsulukiani stated.
