Final preparations for 2026 national examinations completed

Preparations for Georgia’s 2026 national examinations have entered their final stage, according to the National Assessment and Examinations Center (NAEC).

The center said that most examination materials have already been delivered to 24 examination centers established across 12 cities in Georgia, where facilities are currently being equipped with all necessary resources and infrastructure.

“The answer sheets, draft paper, and supplementary materials, including maps and the periodic table of chemical elements, have been printed and distributed based on the number of registered candidates. Examination centers have also received office, medical, and maintenance supplies, as well as loudspeakers, headphones, and other technical equipment. Special software has been installed on examination computers.

At this stage, video cameras are being installed at examination centers, while computer and electrical infrastructure work is also underway.

An organizational group meeting was recently held to discuss examination arrangements. Representatives of various state agencies reviewed the action plan for the exams, as well as completed and upcoming activities.

The NAEC has also conducted trial testing of examination papers, training and assessment sessions for personnel involved in the examination process, and numerous information meetings for candidates, both in person and online.

Based on the review of applications and documentation by independent experts, the center has identified candidates who will require special examination accommodations and has made arrangements to provide an appropriate testing environment.

Examination preparation work is expected to be completed shortly,” the center said.

In 2026, examination centers will operate in 12 cities: Tbilisi, Batumi, Zugdidi, Kutaisi, Poti, Akhaltsikhe, Gori, Ozurgeti, Rustavi, Telavi, Khulo, and Ambrolauri.
