Parliament to extend term of commission on 2020 elections

Georgian Parliament backed the decision to prolong the term for the fact-finding interim parliamentary commission over the 2020 elections with 75 votes. Two MPs voted against it at today’s parliamentary session.

The opposition MPs deem that there is no need to extend this term. Levan Ioseliani, a member of the Citizens, thinks that the commission’s activities contradict the political essence of Charles Michel’s agreement.

According to Lelo member Davit Usupashvili, given the already achieved political result, it is no longer expedient to continue the commission work.
