Parliament to discuss opposition mandates termination

The Georgian parliament will discuss termination of the MP mandates of the opposition representatives, who secured seats in the supreme legislative body but boycotted the parliamentary work, from January 4.

The parliamentary procedural committee would consider the termination request by Irma Inashvili, Giorgi Lomia, and Gocha Tevdoradze, members of the Alliance of Patriots.

The Alliance of Patriots secured four seats in the parliament of the 10th Convocation. Only Avto Enuqidze, a member of the party, agreed to engage in the parliamentary work.

MPs of one part of Girchi Party and Citizens did not request to terminate their MP authorities. Other opposition parties renounced MP mandates.
