Parliament Speaker undertakes official visit to China at invitation of National People's Congress Chair
The Chairman of the Georgian Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, accompanied by a delegation, has departed for an official visit to the People’s Republic of China.
According to the Parliament’s press service, during the visit, Papuashvili is scheduled to hold high-level meetings with Chinese officials.
The delegation, led by Shalva Papuashvili, includes: First Deputy Chairman of Parliament Giorgi Volski, who is also the Head of the Georgia-China Parliamentary Friendship Group; Deputy Chairpersons Nino Tsilosani and Sozar Subari; Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee Nikoloz Samkharadze; and Chairman of the Agriculture Committee Gela Samkharauli.
This marks the first official visit to China by the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament in the past 20 years.
