Parliament Speaker starts visit to Brussels

Kakha Kuchava will start his first official visit as the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament in Brussels, Belgium, today.

Parliament Speaker will hold meetings with David Maria Sassoli, the President of the European Parliament, the Heads of the European Parliament committees and representatives of political groups, the President of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives Eliane Tillieux and members of the Belgian Parliament.

Kakha Kuchava will also meet with the EU Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement, Oliver Varhelyi, the Deputy Secretary-General of NATO, Mircea Geoană, representatives of Think Tank and local media.

The delegation includes Vice Speaker Levan Ioseliani and Chairman of the Committee on European Integration Maka Bochorishvili.

The meetings will discuss the current political processes in the country and relations with the EU.
