The parliament elected two non-judge members of the High Council of Justice on Tuesday.
The candidates Goga Kikilashvili and Levan Nemsadze won the support of 90 lawmakers and will take up the posts for a 4-year term. Rusudan Kvinikadze and Nino Nishnianidze did not gain the MPs’ support.
With today’s vote at the plenary, the parliament filled the 5-member quota in the HCoJ.
The President appoints one non-judge member in the Council, and Tamar Ghvamichava holds this post.
