A six-member delegation from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will visit Georgia on September 23-24 to evaluate the election campaign and political climate ahead of the parliamentary elections on October 26, 2024, the Assembly announced.
Iulian Bulai (Romania, ALDE) will lead the delegation, which plans to meet with the President of Georgia, the Speaker of Parliament, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, members from both the parliamentary majority and opposition, the chairman and members of the Central Election Commission, as well as heads of the National Communications Commission and the Anti-Corruption Bureau.
The delegation will also engage with representatives from civil society and the media. A statement will be issued at the conclusion of the visit.
The complete delegation, along with other international observers, will observe the elections in Georgia on October 26.
