The opposition will move onto an emergency working regime, said Zaal Udumashvili, a member of the United National Movement (UNM) party when addressing the public at the parliament building.

Zaal Udumashvili talked about the opposition’s action plan. The opposition is scheduled to gather at the central Rustaveli Avenue on May 15. The protest rallies will be held both in Tbilisi and the regions.

“We will arrive in every city, village and enter every family to assure the population that struggle always makes sense. The truth is behind us. . . . This will be a rigid and non-stop protest that will lead to the victory and bring positive changes to the country,” Udumashvili claimed.

The opposition and the ruling Georgian Dream party held negotiations mediated by EU’s Christian Danielsson on March 18. Danielsson, a special envoy for the European Council President on the Georgian political crisis, spent a week in Georgia to help the sides agree. However, the talks ended with no promising outcome.
