Opposition MPs interrupt Culture Minister’s speech

Opposition MPs interrupted Tea Tsulukiani, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs, reporting to the parliament within the Ministerial Hour format.

MPs Tina Bokuchava, Khatuna Samnidze, Tamar Kordzaia, and Salome Samadashvili approached the minister at the tribune to unfurl a banner, which depicted a ruling Georgian Dream’s emblem and read a viral phrase by Ukrainian soldiers: “Russian warship, go f*** yourself!”

GD lawmaker Irakli Zarkua pulled the banner down. Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili announced a technical break.
