Number of Vice Speakers to increase up to 7

The number of Vice Speakers in the Georgian parliament will increase from 5 to 7 based on the proposed amendments to be made in the regulations.

Based on the proposed changes, three vice speaker will be elected from the parliamentary majority, while three – from the opposition.

At present, two posts are defined for the majority and two – for the opposition. One post from the opposition remains vacant, since MP Levan Ioseliani was elected as Public Ombudsman.

The First Vice Speaker in the Georgian parliament of the 10th convocation is Gia Volski.
