Number of asylum seekers in Germany from Georgia decreased by 20 percent

The number of asylum seekers in Germany from Georgia has decreased by 20 percent.

According to the Federal Service for Migration and Refugees, in January-June of this year, there were 2 111 applications from Georgian citizens, and in January-June of 2018, this number was 2 640.

At the same time, decrease dynamics are fixed by months: January – 534; June – 182.

In 2018, the number of asylum seekers in Germany from Georgia was 4 265, which is 23% higher than in 2017.
