The number of fines for smoking tobacco in public transport may be reduced.

According to the draft low, if a public transport driver breaks the rule, the fine will reduce from 500 to 200 GEL. In repeated case 400 GEL instead of 1000 GEL.

According to the amendments, is a person smokes a cigarette in a building he/she possesses, office or public transport, where smoking is prohibited, the fine will be 100 GEL, in repeated case 200 GEL.

The draft law will be discussed in the Parliament of Georgia on September 4, 2018.
