Georgian PM arrives in Kazakhstan for high-level bilateral talks

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, has arrived in the Republic of Kazakhstan for an official visit.

Kazakhstan’s Minister of Transport, Nurlan Sauranbayev, welcomed the head of the Georgian government at Astana International Airport.

An official welcoming ceremony for the Georgian Prime Minister will be held later today at the Palace of Independence, where he will be hosted by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Prime Minister Kobakhidze and President Tokayev are scheduled to hold talks in both face-to-face and expanded formats, after which a series of cooperation agreements will be signed between the respective authorities of both nations across various sectors.

As part of the official itinerary, the head of the Georgian government will also meet with the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Oljas Bektenov. Members of the cabinet of ministers from both countries are set to participate in these discussions.

The Georgian Prime Minister is visiting Kazakhstan, accompanied by Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture David Songulashvili, and the Head of the Government Administration, Levan Zhorzholiani.
