No threat to Georgia, PM says

“I would like to state clearly for the attention of citizens, there is no threat to Georgia,” said Georgian Prime Minister, Irakli Garibashvili at the Memorial of Junkers in Kojori.

According to the PM, the Georgian government managed to establish peace and stability in the country with pragmatic and national interests-oriented policy.

“I want to state very clearly and address our citizens, there is no danger today. We need to keep calm. Georgia is not at threat. We achieved it through our pragmatic policy based on our national interests, that for these nine years the country has achieved peace and stability.

Also, we reached signing the Association Agreement with the European Union, visa-free travel and free trade without any losses, without any destabilization. At the same time, we managed to stabilize the situation as much as possible, including de-escalating the situation with Russia, which, of course, was in the national interests of our country,” PM said.

Today marks the 101st anniversary of the Red Army invasion of Georgia in 1921.
