Nika Gvaramia, a leader of the “Coalition for Change,” has been held in administrative detention, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia told GPB First Channel.
Law enforcement officers detained Gvaramia outside the party’s office where police were conducting a search.
Tensions escalated when Gvaramia reportedly clashed with police leading to his detention. Earlier the same day, law enforcement searched for the offices of several opposition organizations and parties.
