Newly summoned conscripts take military oath (Photo, Video)

The newly summoned recruits of national military service took an oath and joined the Georgian Defence Forces.

Besides Freedom Square in Tbilisi, conscripts took the oath at ancient Christian churches and monasteries in 12 historic places of Georgia. The oath-taking ceremony was held in Gonio, Ubisa, Foka, Tkhoti Mount, Ushguli, Konchkati, Martvili, Barakoni, Bolnisi, Bodbe, Mtskheta and Sno.

Georgia celebrates Independence Day on May 26.
