New rolling stocks to be added on the first and second lines of Tbilisi Metro

Starting from today new four-wagon rolling stock will be added to the first line of Tbilisi Metro and three-wagon rolling stock to the second (Saburtalo) line.

Within the project of wagons’ modernization, the form of driver’s cabin has changed, its size increased and the modern system of air-conditioning was installed. New wagons are equipped with the modern remote control system. The exterior and interior design has been changed. The new automated systems for safety has been installed.

In 2019, modernization of 27 wagons is planned.
