NEA issues alert on weather conditions worsening on July 18-19
The National Environment Agency (NEA) issued an alert on worsening weather conditions on July 18-19.
Weather forecasters say that from the second part of July 18 through the first half of July 19, intermittent rain is expected in Eastern Georgia, heavy in some areas, namely in the Samtskhe-Javakheti, Mtskheta-Mtianeti, Kvemo Kartli and Kakheti regions. Thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds are possible.
“Heavy rains may cause swelling of small rivers and formation-activation of the land sliding processes (threat level – medium),” the NEA said.
