NEA: Heavy rain in forecast in western Georgia on November 7-9
Precipitation is expected from the second half of the day on November 7 until the morning of November 9 across most of western Georgia, with high intensity in the Adjara and Guria regions,” the National Environment Agency (NEA) said.
According to weather forecasters, strong winds and thunderstorms are possible, with magnitude 4-5 storms on the Black Sea and snow, blizzards, and dense fog in the mountainous zones.
The NEA warned that due to poor visibility, traffic restrictions may be imposed on certain roads.
“Heavy precipitation may cause swelling of small rivers in western regions, formation and activation of landsliding processes and flooding of some urban territories (threat zone -medium),” the NEA said.
