As part of a symposium held in Shanghai, the President of the National Bank of Georgia (NBG), Natia Turnava, met with Liao Lin, Chairman and Executive Director of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC).
According to the NBG, the sides reviewed cooperation between the NBG and ICBC, prospects for its further development in the bond market and investments and ongoing trends on the international financial market.
The ICBC is the largest bank in China and the world, with assets of approximately 7.6 trillion US dollars. The bank operates in 49 countries and is one of the leading financial institutions in the international banking sector.
The ICBC has made a significant contribution to the issuance of Georgia’s sovereign Eurobond, as well as to the syndication of treasury securities and participation in regular auctions.
