NBG: Georgia’s international travel revenue reached USD 3,637.8 million in January-September

In the third quarter of 2025, Georgia earned USD 1,666.8 million from international travel, representing a 6.6% increase compared to the same period last year. Overall, from January to September, the country’s total international travel revenue stood at USD 3,637.8 million, reflecting an annual growth of 5.1%, the National Bank of Georgia (NBG) reported.

During the third quarter, the share of revenue generated from European Union countries was 14.3%, a rise of 13.3 percentage points year-on-year. Revenues from Azerbaijan and Israel continue to grow strongly, with annual increases of 36.3% and 28%, respectively.

Conversely, revenues from Russia have experienced a decline.

“Georgia’s tourism revenues by country in the third quarter of 2025 are distributed as follows: Azerbaijan – USD 66.4 million; Belarus – USD 36.9 million; Turkiye – USD 195.7 million; Iran – USD 42.9 million; Israel – USD 188.3 million; Russia – USD 252.5 million; Saudi Arabia – USD 85.9 million; Armenia – USD 61.4 million; Ukraine – USD 44.9 million; EU – USD 238.2 million; and other countries – USD 453.7 million,” the NBG stated.
