NATO Secretary General – We will help Georgia on its path to be integrated into NATO
The Black Sea region is important for NATO. We have three countries there – Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey. Then we have two important partners – Georgia and Ukraine – Jens Stoltenberg, Secretary General of the North-Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) said during the meeting of NATO Foreign Ministerial in Brussels.
According to NATO Chief, the alliance has increased its representation in the Black Sea region in recent years. He mentioned trainings, visits, practical support and intensive work with Georgia and Ukraine.
“We will help Georgia on its path to be integrated into NATO. That is why we are helping Georgia in modernization of defense and security institutions, in carrying out of reforms. This is the goal of NATO’s representation in Georgia,” Stoltenberg said.
