National Tourism Administration hosts training courses across nine Georgian cities
The National Tourism Administration of Georgia is conducting training sessions to enhance service quality in the tourism sector. The course on “Hygiene and Food Safety” is being held in Tbilisi, Ambrolauri, Gori, Telavi, Tetritskaro, Akhaltsikhe, Lanchkhuti, Ozurgeti, and Chokhatauri, with 220 employees from hotels and catering establishments participating.
The training covers a wide range of crucial topics, aiming to ensure a higher standard of service in Georgia’s tourism industry, including:
1. Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP)
2. Development of written procedures, including standard operating procedures and work forms
3. Policies regarding mandatory staff training
4. Principles of food safety and hygiene
5. Overview of the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) system, including its stages of preparation and implementation
6. Identification of substances or products that may cause allergies or hypersensitivity
7. Consumer awareness and effective complaint management.
