The Georgian National Olympic Committee named Sandro Bazadze (fencing) and Eter Liparteliani (judo) as best sportsmen for 2025.

Sandro Bazadze secured a gold medal at the Tbilisi Fencing World Championship, while Eter Liparteliani won the 2025 World Judo Championships in Budapest.

The Olympic Committee also revealed winners in other nominations.

2025 Best Federation – Georgian Fencing Federation;

2025 Best Sports Team – Georgian Judoka Team;

2025 Best Cach – Kakhaber Motsradze (Female Judoka Team);

2025 Best Coaches employed in women’s sports in 2025 – Megi Kadakidze (shot put) and Teimuraz Janjgava (weightlifting);

2025 Olympic Committees’ Best Regional Organization – Mtskheta Mtianeti Regional Organization;

Winner for special merit contributed to the Olympic movement – Paata Natsvlishvili (one of the founders of the Olympic Committee, journalist, publisher);

Best Athlete of Georgia in playing sports – Tornike Shengelia (basketball);

2025 Best Sportsmen in winter sports – Anastasia Metelkina and Luka Berulava (figure skating);

2025 Discovery “Olympic Hope” – Inga Gurgenidze (figure skating);

2025 Discovery “Olympic Hope” – Vakhtang Lolua (Greco-Roman wrestling).
