National Examinations Centre: Over 82,000 candidates have registered for 2026 exams
The National Assessment and Examinations Centre has summarised the registration results for the 2026 Unified National Examinations, the Common Master’s Examinations, and the Teacher Certification Examinations.
According to the figures, the total number of registered candidates this year has exceeded 82,000. Specifically, more than 43,000 school-leavers registered for the Unified National Examinations, more than 10,000 candidates for the Common Master’s Examinations, and more than 29,000 participants for the teacher and prospective teacher examinations.
As the Examinations Centre notes, the registration figures once again attest to the high level of interest in the examinations among school-leavers, postgraduate candidates, and those aspiring to enter the teaching profession.
“Of particular note is the increased demand for state higher educational institutions, which once again underscores the appeal of public universities and their primacy in the choices made by prospective students. At the same time, within the broader effort to diversify educational options, a growing interest in vocational education is increasingly evident. This development will play a crucial role in preparing skilled professionals who meet the evolving demands of the country’s labour market.
The completion of the registration process signifies a crucial milestone in the examination cycle, as it is on this basis that subsequent organisational arrangements can be made, specifically, the allocation and distribution of examination venues and the finalisation of the examination timetable.
The National Assessment and Examinations Centre wishes to remind candidates that they will be able to make changes to their chosen educational programmes, whether additions, removals, or transfers, until 18:00 on the day following the publication of appeal results,” reads the statement from the National Examinations Centre.
