Mamuka Mdinaradze resigns as Regional Development Minister, quits politics

Mamuka Mdinaradze resigned as Regional Development Minister. He also announced quitting politics during the briefing.

“I decided to quit both my post and politics. I will not elaborate but say that these 10 years for me in politics were of work, commitment to the homeland, and, alongside my friends, 10 years of doing great deeds for the country. It is a pleasure to be in service with the Georgian Dream team.

I would like to extend my gratitude to each warrior of the Georgian Dream, each member and leader, starting with Bidzina Ivanishvili and ending with an ordinary soldier, as we call them in our big family.

Each and every one of them has contributed to bringing Georgia’s independence to the point where we can proudly say, and I will repeat words uttered many times before, that there was never a situation in Georgia where decisions regarding Georgians, the Georgian people, and our homeland were made right here, and yes, today, that is precisely the situation we have.

Therefore, I am grateful for the decisions through which we were moving towards this shared, great national goal,” he said.
