MP Sharashidze: Politicians should confront GD through actions, young people must not be used for political purposes

“If politicians have the courage to do something, they should confront Georgian Dream through their actions. Young people should not be used for political purposes. These people are needed by the country and the protest movement,” Giorgi Sharashidze, a member of the For Georgia party and a member of parliament, said.

According to Sharashidze, no one has the right to make decisions on behalf of a prisoner about how they should act.

“Of course, these people should be free. It is clear to everyone that their cases are unjust. The majority of these people are serving their sentences unjustly, and that is a fact. They should be free, and every available mechanism should be used to achieve this.

No one has the right to manipulate the fate of other people. I congratulate those who are now free on receiving pardons. I would like to see these people released as soon as possible.

As a result of the irresponsible provocation of October 4, dozens more people were imprisoned completely unjustly. Meanwhile, those who encouraged these people to do this not only failed to take responsibility themselves, but did not even apologize.
