MP Matikashvili: EU officials continue misguided path after USAID and NED scandals exposed by U.S.

MP Davit Matikashvili, a member of Georgian Dream, stated that the world order as it was until 2022 will no longer endure.

He pointed out that, despite the scandals surrounding USAID and NED, European officials continue to follow the route that has been condemned and laid bare by the current U.S. administration.

“All of this calls for an appropriate response, and these new measures are not repressive. They are a reaction to the use of force against Georgia, openly and shamelessly acknowledged by European representatives, including the EU Ambassador to Georgia. They are explicitly stating that millions need to be smuggled into the country in a way that bypasses the government. The funds are flowing to finance radicalism, storm the Presidential Palace, and romanticise acts like throwing Molotov cocktails. Which democratic and self-respecting country would accept this?” said Davit Matikashvili.
