“Where did Khabeishvili read, who whispered that if he follows the peaceful word to overthrow, then all this will be legally understandable either for society or for the state?” MP Davit Matikashvili, a member of the Georgian Dream, responded to remarks made on social media by UNM member Levan Khabeishvili.

MP Matikashvili emphasised that if anyone attempts to break the law or act against the constitution, the state’s response will be immediate, strict, fair, and within the bounds of legality.

“We are well aware that Khabeishvili has no real authority. However, anyone trying to violate the law or undermine the constitutional order will face a swift and lawful response. Our country is a democratic, legal state, and all political processes will be conducted within the framework of the constitution and the law,” Matikashvili stated.

Levan Khabeishvili, chairman of the United National Movement’s political council, recently posted on social media: “If a politician refuses to participate in the ‘elections’ of an illegitimate government, then the second option is a peaceful overthrow; there is no third path.”
