MP Maia Bitadze: Whatever radical opposition plans, they must recognise that legal response follows violence

“Whatever the radical opposition is preparing for, they should comprehend that the law is the law in this country, and a lawful response will follow any violence,” stated MP Maia Bitadze, chairwoman of the parliamentary committee on environmental protection.

According to Bitadze, “these individuals are destined to lose the upcoming elections.”

“The public has grown accustomed to the lies propagated by the radical opposition, who also refuse to accept responsibility for their actions. Whether they speak of a peaceful overthrow, a tender coup, or a violent attempt to change the government, the reality remains: these people are set to face defeat at the polls.

The widespread propaganda of hatred they promote has thoroughly eroded trust among the Georgian people. Their foreign backers also see this clearly. No matter what they are planning, they should recognise that the law is the law in this country, and the full force of the law will follow any violence,” emphasised Maia Bitadze.
