“Ultimately, who calls whom a traitor? Both Zourabichvili and Gakharia are cut from the same cloth,” said MP Guram Macharashvili, the executive secretary of the People’s Power party.

Macharashvili was asked to comment on the statement made by former President Salome Zourabichvili: “Some parties drift in and out of parliament, parroting Georgian Dream’s messages and repeating GD’s attacks on other parties. These are traitors, and achieving unity alongside them is exceedingly difficult, but we will achieve it nonetheless.”

According to Guram Macharashvili, the public has witnessed firsthand what Salome Zourabichvili did when she registered with a foreign agency, just like Giorgi Gakharia.

“When they eventually catch up with each other and find out what topics were discussed, that’s not our concern. What we care about is the existence of a healthy opposition in the country. As a rule, this woman is a losing formula, and I hope she will lead the opposition. Would you like to ask Salome Zourabicshvili if she’s truly intelligent? If she had wisdom and love for her homeland, we wouldn’t be having this problem with her name and reputation. It’s clear from this that her actions are also foolish,” Guram Macharashvili concluded.
