MP Gorduladze: Collective UNM infighting serves Georgia’s national interests; attempts underway to salvage ‘UNM Gakharia’ and ‘UNM Lelo’
“Surnames carry no weight within the collective United National Movement because they are fundamentally the same,” declared MP Archil Gorduladze, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Issues.
Gorduladze added that as soon as instructions are received from external handlers, the opposition will reunite to issue joint declarations.
“It is a welcome development that the collective United National Movement is engaged in internal warfare. This solely serves Georgia’s political interests. At present, we are witnessing an emergency operation to salvage ‘UNM Gakharia’ and ‘UNM Lelo’.
On the other hand, we see a frantic struggle to secure a prime, lucrative seat at the table, specifically near foreign funds whose inflow into Georgia has been restricted by law. Their failed revolutionary plots and a string of ten consecutive election defeats demonstrated that they have been reduced to absolute irrelevance. Surnames do not matter within the collective United National Movement, for they are one entity. They are striving to restore external governance over the country. The moment orders arrive from abroad, these individuals will assemble once again and issue their statements,” Gorduladze stated.
