MP Davit Matikashvili: Radicals sought support from outside, and we know result: their ratings are below zero

“Radicals did not maintain relations with their own people; instead, they attempted to garner support from outside the country. The outcome of this was clear in the elections,” stated MP Davit Matikashvili, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Procedural Issues.

When asked about the opposition’s unification, Matikashvili responded:

“If such a so-called political alliance has anything in common, it is hatred for their own country. Consequently, they have no real prospects. The fundamental principle in political life is the support of the people, not backing from external forces or foreign officials, but from their own nation, their own population. Remember who the radicals are associated with, not their fellow citizens, but foreigners. We know the result of this in the elections: their ratings have plummeted to below zero,” concluded Davit Matikashvili.
