Mother and Aunt detained in Batumi, who forced juveniles begging

As a result of intensive operative-investigative activities, the officers of Adjara Police Department of the Internal Affairs Ministry detained A.P. (Born in 1997) and K.P. (Born in 1984) for trafficking in juveniles by an organized group.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has released information about it.

The investigation established that the detainees (Sisters), through the use of pressure and physical abuse, forced their four children to beg and misappropriated total money collected by the minors.

The investigation is being conducted under Article 143 of the Criminal code of Georgia. The crime envisages from 14 up to 17 years of imprisonment.
