Monetary fines to be set for spread of incorrect information about territorial integrity

Monetary fines will be set for the spread of incorrect information about Georgia’s territorial integrity.

As it became known to First Channel, the proposed changes will be made into Code on Administrative Law Violations and will be initiated at the bureau sitting scheduled for April 8.

Members of the majority are authors of the changes. The initiated amendment refers to production, use, import and export of maps, print media or other items that reflect violation of the principles of territorial integrity.

A physical person will be fined with 100 GEL, legal person – 150 GEL. The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) will be in charge to react upon the administrative law violation.
