Moambe celebrates its 50th jubilee

Moambe News Program of First Channel celebrates its 50th jubilee today. Moambe was established on January 4, 1968.

Initially reports were broadcasted with photos, soon afterwards the journalists of the First Channel began working with cameras in Georgian and  then throughout Soviet Union.

Moambe was the only news program in Georgia during the years. That’s why the unique footage are stored in our archives; including video shots reflecting the construction of the Enguri HPP dam, the first elections of the independent Georgia, the war in Abkhazia.
