The Ministry of Health plans to involve retired doctors in the treatment of patients infected with coronavirus.

As the Minister of Health, Ekaterine Tikaradze stated after the meeting of the Coordination Council, the retired doctors are ready for the above.

According to Tikaradze, the Ministry of Health has already contacted retired doctors and the state is actively using their resources.

“Of course, the involvement of our retired doctors is very important. We have found their contact information and they are ready for the above. Therefore, their resources will be actively used by the state. At this stage there is additional mobilization of doctors of all profiles, who have the relevant skills and can manage patients,” Tikaradze said.

The Minister called on the population and all parties involved in the political process not to contribute to the spread of the virus and at the same time not to abuse doctors’ heroism, goodwill and love of the nation.
