Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture refused to allow construction of HPPs in Gudamakari Gorge

Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia did not approve the project presented by Solo Energy on the construction of  “Aragvi HPP” and “Aragvi 1 HPP” within the parameters provided by the company in Gudamakari Gorge.

The Ministry considered the project on construction of hydropower plants and made a negative decision.

According to the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Levan Davitashvili, the construction of HPPs poses threat to the landscape of the Gorge.
