Minister of Economy meets Israeli Ambassador

Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili held an introductory meeting with Israeli Ambassador to Georgia Walid Abu Haya.

According to the Ministry of Economy, prospects for deepening cooperation were reviewed emphasizing that Georgia-Israel trade turnover this year is characterized by a high 33% increase.

Mariam Kvrivishvili discussed with the Ambassador the current trends in tourism between Israel and Georgia and the prospects for further expansion of air traffic. She noted that Georgia is the third largest tourist destination for Israel, which is facilitated by direct flights.

The Minister wished the Ambassador success in his future endeavours. Deputy Minister of Economy Genady Arveladze attended the meeting.
