“By hosting Grand Jury Du Vin wine symposium in Tsinandali, Georgia was introduced to the world as a prestigious wine producer,” said Levan Davitashvili, Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development.

Georgia hosted the Grand Jury Du Vin wine symposium for the first time. The Association founded in 1996 in Switzerland, used to host the symposium at Villa d’Este, Lake Como, Italy.

According to the Minister, foreign specialists and experts tasted Georgian wines.

“Critics and sommeliers will learn more about Georgian wine and this will further increase the international awareness of Georgian wine,” Davitashvili said.

The Minister spoke about the government’s support of the wine sector and wine-producing history based on scientific facts.
