Minister of Economy: Georgia ranks first in the world in Freedom from Corruption in Relations with the Government
According to the Business Bribery Risk Index by Trace International, Georgia ranks 28th in the world and 19th in Europe, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava declared at a briefing at the government administration.
Assessing the rating, the Minister paid special attention to the subcomponent Freedom from Corruption in Relations with the Government. Georgia ranked first in the world in this subcomponent.
“We are the best in the world in terms of the interaction between business and government. This practically means that businesses do not need to have physical contact with government agencies and public officials to use our programs, our assistance, and certain government services and to obtain permits,” the minister said.
According to Turnava, unified front offices operating across the country are as digitized as possible.
“This is the result of our purposeful reform, which ensures the maximum development of our government services,” the Minister said.
