Minibus drivers hold protest in Batumi

Minibus drivers held a protest in Batumi, the Adjara region. They demand an increase in the travel fee.

The protest participants claim that they work without profit amid the coronavirus crisis and increased fuel cost.

The drivers urged the City Hall for subsidizing if their demand is rejected and the current travel fee stands.

The Batumi City Hall said the issue was under consideration, and the decision, which would harm neither drivers nor passengers, would be made soon.
